Default Question for the board regarding Frank Mir
So I learned something about 3 minutes ago that I never knew until now and that's Frank Mir's real name is Francisco Santos Miranda III. My question is why the name change? Was is ala Charlie and Martin Sheen who didn't think they could get respect in the acting world based on their Latin names or what? I've never heard him talk about it so I was just curious if anyone knew the story behind his name change.

I think Kevo called him by that name a while back and I noticed it, maybe he knows the story.

Mir apparently means Peace or World as a sir name in Russian (according to Wiki - and it starts by calling him Francisco Santos Miranda)... Pasha, any help?

Apparently Frank Triggs real name is Dewey and Anthony Pettis was born Anthony Perez (according to Sherdog)

I think it revolves around the basic stage name mentality for a better pop.

Think about the name Frank Alisio Juarez, III, he too is a former UFC champion but it doesn't have the same cache as the one he is known by....
