Default UFC 146 salaries: Headliners Dos Santos and Mir to make flat $200K paydays

UFC 146 salaries: Headliners Dos Santos and Mir to make flat $200K paydays

Quote:
Regardless of which fighter wins Saturday's UFC 146 title fight, heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos and fellow headliner Frank Mir each will earn a flat disclosed payday of $200,000.

Neither is eligible for a win bonus.

MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) today confirmed the payouts with Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer.

UFC 146 takes place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. The main card, which boasts five heavyweight fights (including the Dos Santos vs. Mir championship five-rounder), airs on pay-per-view. FX and Facebook carry the prelims.

In addition to the headliners, co-headliner and former champion Cain Velasquez earns a disclosed payday of $100,000 to show and an additional $100,000 as a win bonus if victorious. His opponent, former Strikeforce fighter and UFC newcomer Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, earns a flat $70,000.

Full disclosed UFC 146 paydays will be available next week.

Im sure JDS will take home some nice bonuses as well, but he needs to renegotiate his next contract. He is one of the best and most exciting fighters in the UFC. He atleast deserves Machida money.
