I'm a fan of Martin and I'll be rooting for him but I fear you may be right. Ellenberger is going to be a tough fight for anyone.

If Jake wants to I think he could take Kampman down and hold him there if he wanted. The only thing I dont like about Ellenberger is he starts out strong and fades. He did it against Condit and Diego and a few other fights.

Ellenberger takes this. Kampmann doesn't do well against aggressive strikers and Ellenberger is as aggressive as it gets. He pushes the pace early, and uses a lot of power shots. Kampmann fades out too, and I see Ellenberger finishing this fight early, tko.

I like Kampman. Really technical and has a ton of heart. Further this fight goes the better it is for Martin. He does get drawn into his opponents style sometimes and could always lose a close a decision.

If its a 5 rounder, Kampmann wins by UD. If it's 3, it could be a toss up. If Ellenberger busts up Kampmann in the 1st, he can get the quick stoppage or use the momentum to carry him through a 3 round fight. If not, he gets picked apart. Either way, he fades half way through the 2nd round, and Kampmann definitely will not.
