| UFC 146: Fight Card of the Year?
There were 2 ways this card could have gone:
1. Heavyweights getting winded and winging punches just hoping for the bell to ring so they could take a break.
OR
2. Heavyweights throwing BOMBS and destroying each other before the 8 minute mark of the fight.
Well luckily for us they chose the latter.
That Pay Per View had some many fights over so quickly that they ended up showing 10 of the 12 fights.
That's impressive.
THAT is Getting Your Money's Worth.
Main Card (Live on PPV, 10:00 PM ET
Junior Dos Santos defeated Frank Mir via TKO (Punches, Round 2, 3:04),
Cain Velasquez defeated Antonio Silva via TKO (Punches, Round 1, 3:36),
Roy Nelson defeated Dave Herman via Knockout (Punches, 1st Round, 0:51),
Stipe Miocic defeated Shane Del Rosario via TKO (Elbows, Round 2, 3:14),
Stefan Struve defeated Lavar Johnson via Submission (Armbar, Round 1, 1:05),
Darren Elkins defeated Diego Brandao via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28),
Jamie Varner defeated Edson Barboza via TKO (Punches, Round 1, 3:23)
C.B. Dollaway defeated Jason 'Mayhem' Miller via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-26, 29-28),
Dan Hardy defeated Duane 'Bang' Ludwig via Knockout (Strikes, Round 1, 3:51),
Paul Sass defeated Jacob Volkmann via Submission (Triangle choke/armbar, Round 1, 1:54),
Glover Teixeira defeated Kyle Kingsbury via Submission (Arm-triangle choke, Round 1, 1:53),
Mike Brown defeated Daniel Pineda via Unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
And another reason why this card was so sweet was because 9 out of 12 of the fights ended up with Who I Thought Would Win.
(FUCK I wish I went to Vegas and bet my earnings on this card.)

boring?? wow bro. I think every fight on the main card was a finish... Had everything from a crazy submission from struve, nasty GNP by Miocic and Velasquez and the one punch KO power by Nelson and Dos Santos... had what a fan wants to see. Even with the prelims I was diggin it. Someone ain't thinkin right lol.

The original card in paper was much much better than this one. But anyway we saw some nice fights.
We saw a pretty good fight in Miocic vs Del Rosario, we saw an epic bloodbath in Cain vs Bigfoot, a good match between Cigano and Mir.
BTW Cigano is very very likeable because he is very nice but at the same time he is not an ass kisser. You can see that Cigano is genuine and has a great attitude.
Now that Fedor will retire, probably Cigano will become my favorite fighter in the HW division.

I like JDS, but I hate that they kept forcing the nice guy thing. That kid was mentioned to much. JDS is nice enough without having to force it.

Damn i thought that was one of the best cards Ive seen all year. 9 finishes out of 12 fights? Brutal face smashing and nearly literal buckets of blood? I wouldve happily paid for this card, if, you know, i hadnt been forced to watch it for free.... |

I thought it was a great card. Like others have said it is a shame we didn't get reem jds, mir cain, bigfoot nelson, and struve hunt. Cain vs bigfoot was a blood bath. That fight could have been stopped way earlier. I think Bigfoot must have had sex with Rosenthal's mom, kidding of course.
Varner vs Barboza was surprise of the night for me.
