Pash, you may get your wish, well sort of anyway. Rumor out of the NFL is that Bones Jones older bro Arthur has been training MMA and would be a heavyweight. Right now Arthur doesnt see much playing time on the Baltimore Ravens. If he would to be cut or even change careers, he is rumored to try his had at MMA like his little bro. Based on his NFL performance, I think we will see him in the UFC before ever starting at DT for the Ravens

Man all you guys are going to be really disappointed when Cormier is the UFC HW champion this time next year.

Actually this is very possible. He easily dominated Barnett who is a very good fighter.

He has great wrestling and a pretty strong punch. It is still early to say that he will be the champion for sure, but it would not surprise me.

To be honest I think Cormier is the best HW in the world right now. I think if you put him against JDS, Cain or Overeem he beats them and with another year or so of training he ragdolls them all much like he did Barnett.

JDS is just keeping the title warm till Cormier is standing across the octagon from him.

I think this is wildly inaccurate. Jones is utilizing his size and height to a maximum advantage right now. I don't see him being favored over any top 10 HW. Barnett, Werdum and Mir are BIG guys who I definitely feel could take him down. Jones is not an elite striker and wouldn't possess nearly the power he'd be getting hit with in return. I think he'd be KTFO if he traded with many of the big HW's. He hasn't grown into his frame yet.

Fedor had an awesome aura and I believe Cigano could seriously broach that level of invincibility within two years if not sooner.

This is spot on. Next to Fedor's run this is the second best HW winning streak. If he did manage the wins over Cain, Cormier, Overeem and Werdum he would no doubt be the greatest HW in MMA history. He is already the greatest heavyweight in UFC history.

Never a big fan of Jones, but he gets slandered far too often. You may not like who he is, but he is definitely one of the best in the game. show some respect.

The problem with Jones is he is so fake. His humility is blatantly ungenuine. I would prefer it if his was cocky and not putting on an act.

Everybody always obsesses about strength.... What do the 2 best HW's in the UFC currently have that separates them... SPEED.(Cain and JDS, as AO is out)

I dont see anything that suggests that Barnett, Werdum, or Mir could take Jones down, or stop his takedowns. He is a serious wrestler. Just because they are stronger doesnt mean his wrestling skill will go out the window and they will take him down.

Also as far as his striking goes, he is WAY faster than those 3. Im not saying he would get an easy KTFO, but he would keep them at range and use his speed to hit them and barley get touched if it stayed standing.

Cain and Cormier would give him serious threats in the wrestling department, but he is also a lot taller and longer than both of them. It would be interesting to see.

He has good wrestling, but would have a hard time getting JDS down, much less even getting on the inside. His standup has improved, but would get lit up on the outside and finished.

WOW, you came off the Cain bandwagon quick bud. I remeber hearing about how Cain was going to destry JDS....how did that work out for you?
