That would be a great fight. He couldn't rag-doll Nick like he did the younger brother. I'd root for him but that would be a tough fight.

He probably does.

So does this mean 2012 BJ Penn is the 2010 Matt Hughes?

What's the over-under on how long it takes Hardy to call him out?

No, I would LOVE to see him take out Koscheck. I was at UFC 115 when he came within 7 seconds of a win/draw against Condit and I'd lose my mind if he was to beat Koscheck.

The thing is, if he fought Kos, he wouldn't just narrowly beat him if he won. He'd manhandle Koscheck, beat him up badly and leave him looking like he just fought a street gang. I don't think Kos would take that fight, though. Koscheck has everything to lose. What he doesn't realize is that if he doesn't move up to middleweight soon, he's a victim in waiting because he isn't getting another title shot soon and after losing to Hendricks, a guy like Rory is the next logical fight and one that could send him out of the top 10.

nice obs.. seems like it... for both they were dominant when the sport was in its younger days and now the level of competition has gotten beyond what theyre bodies can do now so they know if they want to fight to just go for big name/money fights that are capable of winning

Nick Diaz/Rory would be fun but id probably take Rory in that fight based on sheer beast factor.. but Nick could tag him and get him in trouble or sub him so it would be a nice test

No thanks. I don't want to see a mirror image of the GSP/Penn II minus the vaseline.

I still kind of like BJ Penn, despite his turning into a carebear.

No way is the 2012 BJ the 2010 Matt Hughes. BJ shouldn't fight at WW where opponents will use their size advantage against him. I wish BJ continued and fought like he did against Fitch, where he initiates the takedowns and actually has gameplans. If he did that at LW, he could really claim the title again.

If Hardy calls him out, Hardy will get murdered both on the feet and on the ground. Most likely BJ will tag Hardy quickly and Hardy will initiate the takedown (you know to show off his new "skills"), but then BJ sweeps, takes the back and gets the RNC. That would be so sweet!
