I like Kampmann but Condit really cannot be counted out. I also believe that the first fight certainly could have went either way. Props to Condit for wanting to have a go at it again. Should be exciting either way and I definitely will not be betting on that fight! |
If Condit fought GSP 2 years ago, I think Condit had no chance outside of a sub. It would probably be a pretty entertaining grappling match, but Condit's defensive wrestling just is not that good.
I think Condit is a good fighter, but he does have that hole in his game. His defensive wrestling is not very good for the level he is at in the sport. People talk shit about the Diaz's and Anderson Silva for having poor TDD, but I think they are all significantly better defensively then Condit. Kampmann has pretty good wrestling, and his overall grappling is among the best at WW. I am definitely not counting Condit out, the first fight was very close and I bet a second fight will be too. I just
think Kampmann would win.

I think he is just really taking his time and making sure his body is 100% before he gets back in the mix. For most fighters, these injuries would signal the beginning of the end. But if anyone could work through them the right way and come back strong, it's GSP. However, I would not be surprised at all if he comes out looking flat.
