If GSP isn't ready by November he should retire. The injury he suffered in his knee could be a career ending one.

There's no need for a belt just to be the #1 title contender. The belt was so we could see the title defended until GSP came back than that winner got their shot.

The dislike isn't at Condit the person, but his actions and any fighter trying to do this stunt.

I like Kampmann but Condit really cannot be counted out. I also believe that the first fight certainly could have went either way. Props to Condit for wanting to have a go at it again. Should be exciting either way and I definitely will not be betting on that fight!
If Condit fought GSP 2 years ago, I think Condit had no chance outside of a sub. It would probably be a pretty entertaining grappling match, but Condit's defensive wrestling just is not that good.

I think Condit is a good fighter, but he does have that hole in his game. His defensive wrestling is not very good for the level he is at in the sport. People talk shit about the Diaz's and Anderson Silva for having poor TDD, but I think they are all significantly better defensively then Condit. Kampmann has pretty good wrestling, and his overall grappling is among the best at WW. I am definitely not counting Condit out, the first fight was very close and I bet a second fight will be too. I just think Kampmann would win.

I think he is just really taking his time and making sure his body is 100% before he gets back in the mix. For most fighters, these injuries would signal the beginning of the end. But if anyone could work through them the right way and come back strong, it's GSP. However, I would not be surprised at all if he comes out looking flat.

Eh IDK y but I don't really like Kampmann... maybe it is because he seems to get rocked in most of his fights, but still ends up winning... kudos to him for that, but still... And then Condit imo is a sloppy fighter... so this fight I don't really like.... tho I respect Condit for wanting to fight someone else if GSP ain't ready.

Condit would destroy Kampmann this time.
Condit has looked much more impressive in his last fights than Martin.

Condit came in with a perfect game plan against a guy in Diaz who's own game plan has not changed in a long time. People are talking shit about Kampmann's performance against Ellenberger, but I think it was fucking awesome.

He went toe-to-toe with a guy who is built to KO people fast and fade. He bangs with him, takes all his best shots, and comes back and knocks him out in the 1st round. He might not fight the smartest, but the guy is very dangerous, and can finish anyone at any time. On top of his striking, he's up there as one of the best grapplers at WW.
