Condit was recently interviewed by HDNet's "Inside MMA," where he discussed his plans for the future. By the sound of it, the interim champion may be coming around to the idea of taking another fight, while he waits for the return of "GSP."

The first fight was awesome, I think a rematch would be great too. I think Kampmann's the superior grappler and he would win another decision based off of that.

I'm all about it due to the fact that Condit should have a basis for being labeled a "champion" by defending his belt.

id rather see condit against mcdonald again but kampann has been in the ufc longer and paid his dues

Id like to see another re match I had condit winning that first one. Kampmann is going to have to work his stand up more because I doubt Condit let's him take him down like that again

I am completely done doubting Kampmann but he cannot continue to recieve blows like he has and continue to have these amazing come from behind wins. I like Kampmann but Condit really cannot be counted out. I also believe that the first fight certainly could have went either way. Props to Condit for wanting to have a go at it again. Should be exciting either way and I definitely will not be betting on that fight!

It's more about getting the big pay day a defense against someone like Kampmann is risky for him and doesn't pull in the big PPV numbers like a returning GSP would.
While I'd prefer he fights before GSP returns I can see his reasoning for wanting to hold off.
