Not to stir up the conspiracy pot too much, but Bisping just tweeted Kendall Grove on June 5th telling him that he's got a fight with Boetsch on July 21st and that "Anytime u wanna train say the word!".....And now Bisping is out of the fight? Not the strangest thing to happen, but a little coincidental no?
I honestly think the UFC protects Bispings as much as they can to ensure a viable UK draw, but truthfully I believe Bisping has the tools to beat Lombard and isn't a fight that I think he'd duck. If anything, I'd think ZUFFA didn't want to have Lombard fight a massive MW with good all around skill and point striking in his debut tilt with the company, seeing as he's one of their biggest signs of the year.
This is a little hinky but I'm 70/30 that it's legit on Bisping's end....
This has been discussed time and time again. It is not a conspiracy, it is reality. Nothing wrong with an analytical mind that sees things for how they are.
I see there's some confusion regarding the recent increase in injuries within the UFC. I have found a perfectly reasonable scientific explanation to clear up any confusion. Please watch this video and you will understand.

If I were to be completely realistic in my films, you would call me a violent, bloody man. I would simply destroy my opponent by tearing his guts out. I wouldn't do it so artistically." ~Bruce Lee
This is pretty naive talk to be throwing around the ideas of Bisping ducking whoever you want to believe so the "protected boy" can win as easily as possible.
Remind me again how Munoz was so much more skilled and dangerous compared to Sonnen? Hmm, aside from having slightly heavier hands, if Bisping had put on the performance he did against Sonnen, he would have pushed Munoz into cardiac arrest.
And have you ever thought to consider, you know the idea, that if your weight division doesn't know your injury, it might give you an advantage so its not a target?
The guy has never pulled out of a UFC event before in his entire career, and now because his first time falls at a time where a fighter is pulling out of an event every week, it must be something fishy?
This sucks for the fans because right now, we've had a major rivalry between to veterans in Belfort and Wandy cancelled (possibly never to happen in Wandys career). We've had the All American Brian Stann fall outta a slug fest with a heavy hitter Lombard, and we've had rumours of Silva out of his defence against Chael with a knee injury.
Damn. I was looking forward to the stann fight. Would have much rather seen Bisping or Belcher fill in. Boetsch is a tough guy coming up the ranks at MW, but he will get merked by lombard. A tough fight and a good test, but not as good as stann.
I do hate how bisping is often protected at various points in his career by the UFC, but if anything the UFC would now want to protect Lombard. He is a champ in another organization with decent recognition and a very exciting fighting style. They would be happy to see him win this fight and fight for the title, it would be an easy sell. Bisping is better than Boetsch and would have a better chance at beating Lombard. He would stick and move on Hector and have a big reach advantage to work with.
