Urrrgh that was a multi quote mess.
I'd say it was closer to 2 top 10 MW's really, as the other one was merely keeping somebody else's seat warm.
Sonnen ran through Brian Stann yes, but pretty much in the same way I (and A LOT of people) was expecting him to run through Bisping. I didn't expect Stann to offer so little resistance in the TDD department, and submission defence, which lets face it, was non existent. Sonnen was a horrible match up for Stann though. Best wrestler in the MW division against one of the best strikers? So maybe we shouldn't have been so surprised. Sonnen showed up how one dimensional Stann is, and how he wasn't really top 10 calibre at all with such a gaping area of skill lacking in his arsenal.
He did the best against any man has done against Silva, I never questioned that, but he was fighting with crazy high T/E levels as he did what he did to Stann over nearly 5 complete rounds.
Your answer to how Sonnen would do agaisnt Belfort and Munoz wasn't worth posting that image for.
I would love to see how Sonnen deals with Belforts speed on the feet and avoiding his punches. I think his decision to do TUF was a big mistake, as fighting Wandy was a potentially huge step down in rankings. I'm annoyed he's busted up from training and will be outta action for so long, but potentially he could fight Bisping, Stann or Munoz in future fights once they are all healed. Not sure what Okami is doing either but surely he should have a fight coming up soon.
Maybe Belfort is ranked a little too high in the top 10. He is a force to be reckoned with at LHW and MW as his skillset is broad and his striking elite. He's actually beaten 2 middle weights, but of course one was Rumble Johnson.

Seeing as how it was pretty clearly stated by the CSAC that Sonnen had an illegal level of synthetic testosterone in his blood, and he was well above the range allowed for a TRT user, I'm calling bullshit. Looking At CSAC Released Documents, UFC Fighter Chael Sonnen Steroid Suspension Should Be Upheld - Watch Kalib Run
The CSAC doesn't bust people on having high T/E ratio's, that is just a warning sign that signals them to take more tests. It just so happens that when someone's T/E ratio is that out of wack, they ALWAYS test positive for something else, because it's just not possible for someone to have a 16:1 T/E ratio naturally.

His ratio was 16:1. But you realize that there is a difference between ratios and actual levels right? His actual range of testosterone was never found to be above normal levels. Sonnen Quote: |
Because TRT involves a synthetic form of testosterone administered manually, it elevates the body’s ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone, which, in Sonnen’s case, triggered a positive result for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). His test ratio was 16.9:1, where the normal threshold ratio is 4:1. However, the CSAC did cite that, while Sonnen’s test results of the ratio itself were high, his actual range of testosterone was within the normal levels for adult males. | Did he get clearance from the commission to be on TRT in the first fight? No. Did he lie about it? Most likely.
Did they find his actual testosterone levels to be higher than allowed? No.
Will he be allowed to be on TRT for the rematch? Yes.
Will he have the same levels as before? Yes.
P.S. - When you call "bullshit" on someone, make sure you don't look like an idiot first...

Saying Munoz's hands are only slighty heavier than sonnen's is like saying you are only slightly dumber than the average poster.
You'd be smarter to point out that Munoz has an even greater reach disadvantage to overcome than sonnen did, so Bisping could use his reach even more effectively...but if Mark managed to land any of the 15-or-so shots to the head that sonnen landed against Bisping, it's: good night, Mike. Quote:

So I gave him a handful of singles and he gives me a bump, and next thing I know I'm testing at 63:1. It sucks. I don't understand it. He had great references from both the DJ and Shayna, the matinee special girl.
It's ok, though; because my actual testosterone levels came in normal. Quote:
