UFC officials have officially petitioned the Nevada State Athletic Commission for a September 1st pay-per-view event to be held in the great city of Las Vegas.

UFC 151 will be held at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas featuring Jon Jones’ fourth consecutive light-heavyweight title defense against the divisions number one contender, Dan Henderson.

Henderson’s impressive resume serves as one of the top contender in Jones’ path, as the young champion has essentially wiped out the light heavyweight division in a span of 14 months.

While not officially announced by the promotion “UFC 151: Jones vs. Henderson” should be a lock for the requested September 1st date.
