This is why there needs to be a MMA hall of fame not just a UFC HOF. Hopefully one day there will be a highly credible non bias HOF for MMA. The UFC HOF is too biased IMO and Frank not being in it is a glaring example of it.
I like the idea of a non UFC HOF because guys like Saku, Fedor, Frank Shamrock (lets face it if he isn't in now he won't be in ever), Bas, Rickson, Gomi, and Genki can live on as legends. Not to mention non combatant trainers and Martial art practioners of the sport that had a great influence on the sport should be in. A couple of examples would be Helio Gracie and Pat Miletich.
Oh and i almost forgot and this is because he was a great fighter but also i loved watching this guy fight Igor Vovchanchyn deserves to be in a HOF as well at least imho.

Frank definitely deserves his spot in UFC HOF. If Dana weren't running the show he would have already been inducted. Always loved his fights, especially beating Ortiz and slamming people unconcious. As far as MMA HOF, hard to think of anyone else that has been involved in MMA on a higher level that Frank has. He's either fought in, coached, commentated, even produced for damn near every major MMA organization ever.

They have absolute licensing rights to their fighters images and will never, never allow an MMA hall of fame to include their fighters because honoring someone like Fedor is tacit indication that any other brand of MMA is/was/can ever be as good/valid as a Zuffa product.
The only loophole that I could see would be if it were to happen in Japan or Europe somewhere. I'm not up at all on international business law, but it seems like would be more difficult for them to get a cease-and-desist order for using images of Zuffa-owned fighters.
Even if that were to come to pass, it would still be controversial.
But I agree with you, I just don't think it will happen.
I'd like to see a multi-state governing body for MMA in general, with training courses for refs and officials--not to mention regular evaluations that make them eligible for critical bouts; a revamp of the scoring system, and an unbiased HOF. I imagine I'll hit the lottery before that happens, and I do not actually play the lottery.

I don't see any of the state commissions wanting to give up what they have now to a higher authority as most board members would end up being redundant and no longer needed. Quote:

the UFC's hall of fame has never been legitimate. There needs to be an outside MMA hall of fame, that doesnt deal with the UFC's bias or prejudice.

Do you really think dana isn't petty enough to allow any images of a Zuffa fighter to be honored in a Hall that would also honor Fedor?

rh | Who was arguing otherwise ?
Dana wouldn't support any hall of fame he doesn't have an involvement.

Its not just the obvious fighters like Fedor... That have never fought in the UFC, but anybody who he has a personal problem with may not get in because of that...
