| Should UFC do 1 pride show yearly for the japanese fans?
what do you guys think? pride had a huge following over in japan, and right about the time it went out of business, i was starting to become a fan of pride. do you think UFC should do a pride fighting show instead of a UFC show when they go to japan ? or should they still have it as UFC but have the arena set up like it was pride. they could look into contracting some of the former pride fighters to pit them against current UFC fighters or fellow former pride fighters. what do you guys on here think. just something i thought of the other day and decided to make a poll about it today.

I absolutely hated anything to do with PRIDE being attached to Unified Rules. The Unification bouts were a joke.
I'd be fine with Zuffa hosting PRIDE bouts in Japan, but they'd need to be under PRIDE rules, in a ring, or I'd be disappointed.
That being said, I don't think Zuffa will do anything like that.

thats the one thing i enjoyed about pride was the ability to do soccer stomps, axe kicks, knee to head on the ground and such, thats how a real fight happens. i agree with what you said about Zuffa not doing it , but it would be awesome to see a pride reunion type show or something with the noguieras, some gracies, sakuraba, hell maybe fedor would jump in on it. i bet wandy would jump at the opportunity to fight under the pride banner one more time.

They maybe have enough legit former Pride fighthers to do a Pride show in Japan for a year or two. I don't think the UFC should do it as it would seem more like the UFC is throwing a bone to Japanese fans rather than making a valid attempt to appease them. Pride is dead, just remember it and move on. The Japanese MMA market isn't as lucrative as it once was anyways.

I love pride but having a reunion show with the unified rules is stupid and at the other end of the spectrum having a suffrage event with Japanese rules would also be stupid as it is unfair that fighters would be able to take advantage of re
Tactics that others who are not on the card cannot.

Pride is gone. We cant keep bringing it up like our favorite friend who comes around every now and then. Lets do Japanese shows with pride stars mixed in with the current UFC roster, if they want to come out to Pride theme let them but anything under the Pride banner now isnt the same. Remember the good times and be glad that we had the chance to experience Pride Fighting Championship.

No. Do a New Years card for their current fanbase. Why kowtow to Japanese fans?
Japan had PRIDE. It died. It was sad. The end.
