I think Joe Silva might need a holiday soon.

Call me "UFC hater" all you want but this card is horrible for being a PPV.
People bashed UFC 147 saying that it was a horrible card on paper, and however even UFC 147 was better than this.

It was like an m-1 card where I only knew a few fighters and everyone else had long strange foriegn names. It ended up being pretty damn good though. This card looks kinda weak but I know pretty much everybody. I think it will still be a pretty good ppv.
Oh yeah and your a UFC hater.

UFC 147 was kinda a PPV for Brazilian people, that is why almost everyone there were Brazilian fighters, and most of them from the TUF season.
However here it is supposed to be a good big PPV, and we have Clements vs Riddle and James Head vs Patrick in the main event??
Kongo vs Jordan? 2 guys that are arguably in the Top 15.
Boestch vs Lombard and the main event are the only 2 good fights in paper. And in the case of Lombard is only because it will be interesting to see if indeed he is so good.
The UFC on Fox 4 card is way much better and it is for free!!! How is that free cards are much better than PPVs??

You're right...Fox 4 is way better and I'm sure the UFC would have loved to turn that event into a PPV and 149 into the Fox card but, at this point, making that change would really cheat those who dont wanna pay for the 149 card and enjoy the great matches of the Fox for free.
If you're a fan of MMA, you wouldn't care too much how weak the card is...just watch it no matter who is fighting and enjoy |

| That is a valid point but the thing is that you want to get hyped for a card. You want to wake up on saturday and being excited because you know that in some hours you will watch a very good event. Unfortunately for UFC 149 it is impossible to get hyped.
That is why I insist that Pride was so awesome, only there you could had people like Arona, Overeem, Shogun, Wandy, Belfort, Sakuraba, Rampage, Hendo, Lil Nog, Vovchanchyn in one card.
In UFC you have 4 of those kind of fighters in one card and it is considered an "awesome card"

Most years I believe it was six or less. If I am correct that is a pretty solid explanation for why they had more star power per card. The UFC does what around 40 Events a year now?

Personally I would prefer to watch only one UFC event per month but a really amazing event rather than watching 40 events per year and most of them being so-so.
