Between Aldo blatantly grabbing the fence against Mendez, and Anderson's death grip on Chael's shorts, I'm starting to doubt they were "in heat of the moment" actions...

Bisping knee to face more. | Oh please, it is to be expected to hear these Chael fanboys whinge about every little thing they can. Too much of Chael rubbing off on his fans.
Take defeat graciously perhaps?
The knee is the most ridiculous excuse of the bunch, it hit im in the chest, your gif even shows that?
The short grabbing ofcourse is against the rules and he was warned to let go and did, and just walked straight up to chael like he would have anyway if he hadnt held the shorts he wouldve walked right up to him anyway, it didnt change the fight. Anderson is far and away the better fighter, sooner people accept that the better.

I can barely read the posts on this thread, it's simply a war between Sonnen fans/Silva haters, and those that to be honest I don't view as Silva nut-huggers, but instead they are people that simply watch the fight, admired the fighters and their skillsets, and were impressed by the outcome.

Bisping knee to face more. | Sniggles man, I respect you, your viewpoints and the posts you make on this forum, but I have to say that this one really does sound like that of a guy who isn't trying to look at the fight with any objectivity, but rather was rooting for one guy and isn't happy that he didn't win.
I am a Silva fan, but at the same time, I don't dislike Sonnen, I watched the fight and try to reflect upon it as impartially as I can, and if you do the same you've got to admit two things: the 'greasing' and 'short grabbing' did not contribute in any way to the finish. If the 'grease' was a factor, then how was Sonnen able to take Silva down so easily in the first. And as for the short grabbing, it was just irrelevant when it came to the end of the fight. Quote:

I mean, if you tried to shoot someone with a gun and missed, it's not like you get in trouble for attempted murder, amirite?
Oh wait...

I took some time to think about the two "cheating" factors in this fight. Here's what I think happened. The "greasing" was a purely psychological tactic. I seriously doubt the little bit of grease on his face would have have made a big difference in the fight, of course I'm no Vaseline expert or anything, but I think Anderson wanted Chael to see that and maybe fuck with his head before the fight. I think Anderson's attitude in this fight was "Ok so you want to be in a real fist fight in a cage on Saturday night?" Everything from the greasing to the shorts grabing, to the standing in front of chael with his chin up in the air daring him to hit him and even letting him land a few in the second round. It said to me that Anderson was saying to Chael,
'this shit ain't no game, I'm gonna do whatever it takes to fuck you up."
This was Anderson going "street" on Chael. A dead serious straight up street fight. Anderson had been in a few of those and he wanted to show that to "the American Gangster" Chael Sonnen. Maybe he wanted to take Chael back to those mean streets of West Lin, Oregon?

I think it's important to consider "intent" when arguing that knee.

Good Point, I think Anderson may very well have wanted to Knee him in the face. I'm not gonna say he didn't and maybe then we would be looking at a 3rd fight next year.....Anderson was pissed for the entire fight and wanted to hurt Sonnen....really bad.
