As far as possible match-ups with guys like GSP or Evans. Both are very tough fights... not saying much seeing how Evans is the #2 LHW and GSP is #1 WW. They both have a better and more explosive shot than Sonnen, few can say that. The problem for them is that it is not that simple. They dont bull rush forward and throw caution to the wind like Chael does. He eats a decent amount of shots before he gets inside in most of his fights. I highly doubt GSP or Rashad are that durable... They also both fight very defensively because of past tko losses.

GSP gets clowned if he tries his ranged jabs, superman punches, throw in a few leg kicks with Anderson. He would get tko'd for sure, but he has that Excellent double leg that he can land at any second, so it would be hard to predict.

I have seen Rashad as AS's biggest threat if he actually went down to MW or could even make it. He clearly has the frame to make MW, but he loves to eat... he gets big in between fights and carries around a lot of muscle... possible some of it unnecessary... He has the speed to deal with AS and clearly the wresting to get him down... He actually has some good GNP when he gets it going, but he gets very chinny at times, and AS is the most precise striker in MMA.

i think chael can take a punch better than gsp or evans. i think that allows him to rush in and take a chance where as evans or gsp would probably get KOed in the process. i think at lhw evans would take sonnen, but i do not think he would fair any better against silva, infact i think he would actually do worse. he lasted 5 rds against jones sure, but to me it felt like after the first couple of rounds and elbows that jones heart wasnt into finishing rashad and that rashad had already accepted the fact that he basically lost the fight. i think silva would finish him.

i think gsp of old has the stand up to fight silva for a little bit but would get caught eventually and i still do not think his chin is all that solid. same with evans.

I didn't like outcome but not because of who won. I wouldve preferred chael win but he is not my favorite fighter by any means. I wanted a clean finish to the greatest rivalry I have ever seen. Anderson, the man who is supposed to be a "true martial artist," mercilessly grabbed shorts. Kongo gets crucified for such. It probably had no effect at all on the outcome but it tarnished it. It tarnished Anderson. In fact I think his behavior as of late kinda proves what chael said in the beginning that Anderson is a fake. Like water.......yeah I can see right through you.

Anderson silva GOAT? Only if it stands for, grabs on another's trunks.

Hate me for this if you want. I'm not butthurt because chael didnt win. Hell I like Matt brown more than chael. ( I do find sonnen hilarious though) I am expressing my opinion on a man that claims to embody the true martial artist and his behaviors.

Thank God the soap opera came to an end and now that he lost by TKO in the second round, Chael will stop talking shit once and for all.
If he continues doing that it will be absolutely irrelevant and pointless.

Anderson showed way too much respect for a douchebag that insulted him for over 2 years. But it is Ok, he already showed who is the boss 2 times.

Now, IMO Anderson looked much slower than usually. Even when he had Chael rocked, Anderson's punches looked kinda slow and without too much power.
To be honest I think Anderson should consider retirement. He has nothing else to prove. He cleared out the MW division, he defended his belt 10 times, he is the most dominant champion in UFC history. He does not look in the amazing shape he was like 3 years ago, and eventually he will lose.

As for the other fights, Forrest is so unlikeable. He is a good fighter but his persona is so annoying, he is like a combination of a clown and an emo.
Someone needs to beat him like Anderson and Shogun did.

As for the other fights, some quick notes.

- Nurmagomedov looks like a pretty solid prospect, he is only 23, I believe that in 3 or 4 years he may become a very serious force. However IMO he needs to gain some muscle mass.

- Philipou is a very good fighter. Good boxing, very good TDD and extremely strong. Hopefully he fights soon agin.
