When Chael missed that wild spinning backhand and just scooted back against the fence, I felt he gave up there. So I wouldn't be surprised to hear him question retirement.

I don't think he was expecting Silva to throw a knee when he was that low to the ground. He was probably waiting for Silva to punch and then grab a leg.
I still think Sonnen can beat Silva if he doesn't do stupid spinning backfists and sticks to the game plan.

I think Sonnen blew a lot of energy failing to take Silva down, and was hoping if he stayed on the ground after the miss he might be able to goad Silva into going to the ground with him. He didn't expect Silva to land a fight stopping strike though.

No, he isnt lnp, he beats people up, for 15 minutes. but 25 min is too long to go with a guy like silva and not finish the fight. Sonnens only chance is to figure out how to finish silva.

Silvas movement and defense in the seccond round was much better than the first fight/round. He was stuffing his shots and picking him appart, regardless of that failed spinning back fist, tr fight would have ended soon either way.

Im still shaking my head at the fact Sonnen went for a spinning back fist or elbow against Anderson, really Chael? Stick to what you are good at.
