| Coach: I got a feeling Chael's done fighting Coach: I got a feeling Chael's done fighting Quote:
Chael Sonnen's trainer, Neil Melanson was a guest on The Verbal Submission and talked about the UFC 148 main event. Quote:
"Any time you're a part of training camp or you're friends with somebody and they lose, you just worry about them like, how are they gonna handle it mentally? Are they gonna come back from this?
"I don't know what Chael's plans are, but I got a feeling he's done fighting. I don't know. I've just got a feeling he's done. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he was serious when he said, 'If you beat me, I will leave forever,' and there's a very good chance of that."

Chael woulda fit right in with guys like Stone Cold, The Rock, Mick Foley, Angle, Vince n Shane.
But i hope he continues fighting. Plenty of matchups for him in MW and I think he could rejuvenate TUF as a coach. All in all, i Wish him the best.

The one thing Chael was totally serious about was that for him the point was to be champion. I think if he doesn't see a clear path in which he could be in a title fight that he doesn't want to compete. He knows a third shot would be far less likely now, at least at MW. I think Dana will pick up on this and have a meeting with him to ensure him there is a way. Dana loves the draw Chael can bring and his skill in hyping a fight.

Maybe Chael's buddy CM Punk will hook him up with a fat contract.

I understand that Chael wants to be champion and thats his goal but the bottom line is that not everyone can be the Champ. Im not sure what is ahead for Chael but I really would hate to see him retire. That would mean that Anderson beat him twice and broke his will witch is way worse then loosing a fight IMO.

Weird, its like Chael has spoken so much crap, the crap has become him, and now he has no choice but to fall on his own sword, as he has no place to fall other than in the shit.

Id be very upset if Sonnen retired. He needs to move up to LHW and fight some of the better guys there. Have him fight Machida or Evans next.
Im still pissed at ref for stopping the fight when he did. They should have had Rosenthaw ref the fight, we werent given the chance to see Sonnen's KO face.
