Ed Soares, manager to Anderson Silva, was a guest on yesterday's 'The MMA Show' with Mauro Ranallo. Soares told Rallo that Anderson Silva mentioned in passing that the weight cut for this bout was very easy, although Soares didn't know if he was joking or not. Soares did say the weight cuts seem to be going easy for the last few fights.
This conversation led to speculation from Soares that maybe indeed his client could fight in the welterweight division, which would be of huge interest to fans who have been clamoring for an Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre superfight.

How does anyone in their right mind think that Anderson should fight Georges but simultaneously not fight Jones? Anderson should just stay at MW, there are excellent fights for him there.
And soares should just fall off a bridge.

well he did say "maybe" and its not a complete stretch since he did it in his younger days
im not saying he could or should but soares isnt completely crazy
for those of you who dig joe rogans podcast
joey diaz did one with ed soares his is called beauty and da beast, its was a good episode
ed takes a lot shit from fans and media but he comes off as a very likeable guy on the podcast and you'll definitely learn some cool things about the guy along the way, there is a reason the three kings have him as their manager hes good at what he does and hes not a bad guy

I have more interest in a gsp vs silva fight at 170 then I do at 185. That being said, again, Im sick of hearing about "superfights". Either make it effing happen, or squelch the rumours and fight in your own divisions.
