When the purses for UFC on FX 3: "Johnson vs. McCall" were released, many fans were upset that headliner Ian McCall made only $9,000 for his losing effort versus Demetrious Johnson.
However, McCall came on The Underground and reported that things are not always as reported when it comes to UFC fighter pay.

Dana says he doesn't like to give out real numbers, which is def. the truth cause i came on here and saw people saying things like i shoulda got paid more even though i lost but i headlined the card..
i did, dana sent me an extra 25k right after the fight plus i got main event sponsor money haha
the UFC pays you to do your job, if you do it then you get paid good.. in my UFC debut i made over 80,000... thats a lot of money for a division half the MMA community didn't know existed!!
i love all of you guys, most of you know my life story, i just wanted you to know that i get taken care of by the UFC real well, ESPECIALLY when it comes to $!
All i gotta do now is beat the crap out of someone and move forward and start making anderson moneyyy !!!!!!!
UGCTT 4 LIFE! gotta head out but the shirts should be coming tomorrow so ill be signing them all for ya!

Uncle Creepy was probably making no more than a few thousands at best while fighting on the local circuit..and then to jump to a pay of over $80k for his debut in the UFC? Me thinks being part of the UFC roster does you good financially, right?
Also, as we have known, putting on a worthy performance gets you paid win or lose. Def bodes well for fighters like Fabio Maldonado, Joey Beltran, Leonard Garcia, Costa Phillapou, and others who arent on top of the pay scale but always put on entertaining fights.

Fighter pay is a legitimate topic that we have addressed in the past. Yes, we are all in fact discussing and complaining about things while on the internet. Get over it.
Many fighters have complained in the past but not every fighter gets a start as a legit top 5 fighter in a particular division. Many fighters enter the UFC in an already established division and must work their way up to being paid an 80k after fight bonus or put on the fight of their life.

but..but..but I thought Zuffa underpaid all there fighters and THEY were the only ones who walked away with real money???
What has the world come to when you cant even believe what you read on the internet?? 80K for a debut fight, for the 125 division seems pretty fucking sweet to me.

Guys like George Roop have stood up and said they made 100k easily in a year fighting for the UFC, everytime these "released figures" comes out people spaz out when the fighters and management are the ones who sign for whatever amount they sign for.
