| Guillard on Cerrone: "In my mind... I've already won the fight 10 different Ways Guillard on bout with Cerrone: "In my mind... I've already won the fight 10 different ways" Quote:
"Things could be entirely different at this stage in my life, if I hadn't beaten [Fabricio] Camoes at UFC 148, who knows where I would be right now. Instead, I'm co-headlining a UFC pay-per-view for Mr. Lorenzo [Fertitta] and Mr. Dana [White] and all the fans, and in a fight that I think will be the Fight of the Night. I feel blessed, and so much of this has to do with my team, my coaches and my manager who guided me and helped me settle down and build a real life and training program in South Florida. There is no way that [Donald] Cerrone can beat me, because for the first time ever, I will be fighting at my full potential. I can't wait for Denver. I want the fight to be this weekend. I'm already in shape and in my mind, and in strategy sessions with my coaches, I've already won the fight ten different ways."
-Melvin Guillard comments on his short notice fight with Donald Cerrone, coming to UFC 150 on August 11 in Denver, in a statement released by his management team at Authentic Sports Management.

In my mind he's already lost by guillotine.

Even Bas Rutten has said that the fight is 90% mental and 10% physical. I would think it is only natural for a professional fighter to envision the fight everywhere that it could possibly go, and likewise envision exactly how he could win in each situation. All being said, I dont think Melvin will win the fight, but he certainly has a chance, and his positive thought will only help.

10 diff ways for Melvin? Very unlikely.
10 diff ways for Cerrone? Let's see:
1)guittoine choke
2)RNC
3)Armbar
4)Kimura
5)D'arce Choke
6)Anaconda Choke
7)Gogoplata
8)Omoplata
9)KO/TKO
10)Decision
Much more likely.

Guillard said he's going to finally be fighting as his full potential this time, okay?
So there is no way he is going to get submitted.

Melvin lights Cerrone up on the feet,he is much faster and has alot of power. Not to mention we saw him defend alot of ground attacks in his last fight and stay relaxed under pressure.
I think this fight is a toss up, both fighters have shown fights where they are unbeatable, and both have laid an egg. Who knows which fighter will show up,and who will stay home.

I really hope Melvin wins this one so he can get back on track to that title. I doubt he will ever win UFC gold, but I hope he atleast gets to fight for it
