When was the last time Georges St. Pierre knocked anyone out?
After rattling off four consecutive unanimous decision victories inside the Octagon, it's safe to say it's been a long time since the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Champion has been able to finish anyone on the feet.
Still, "Rush" demonstrates superior striking when the situation calls for it.
Just ask Josh Koscheck, who was jabbed into mediocrity at the UFC 124 event in late 2010. Or his teammate, Jon Fitch, who went ass over tin cups in his quest to wrestle the 170-pound title from the clutches of Captain Canada in late 2008.
You can thank Freddie Roach for that.
The longtime boxing trainer is expecting a visit from the surgically repaired champ as he gears up for a potential title unification bout opposite Carlos Condit at the UFC 154 pay-per-view (PPV) event on November 17, 2012 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
"He might be in next week to work on some hands. He did do some boxing with Eric Brown while I was away a couple weeks ago, so he has started punching a little bit, he's getting a little more active every day. I think he's supposed to be here either this week or next week."

Quite looking forward to seeing him back in the cage. Then we can quit with the waiting game.

I'm not looking forward to seeing GSP decision his way to victory again, I actually find Cruz to be a more exciting fighter than him. I hope he comes back strong and looking to finish people.

But I do find Cruz very fun to watch, and similarly one of my favorite boxers was Calzaghe, who didn't really knock anyone out.
GSP has power, I think he doesn't really commit to his striking enough, not really putting together combinations well. His striking is mostly one shot at a time. Throws lots of jabs, and mixes in the lead cross once in a while. It's pretty effective, but not too much fun to watch.
Anyways, lots of good fights coming up for him, hopefully a good show gets put on.

I actually enjoy watching GSP pick people apart. The dude is the ultimate well rounded fighter. Everybody has at least one little hole, and gsp pokes the shit out of all of them.

I'm not going to make any more disparaging remarks about him, since I've already made it clear that I find him boring. Redundancy be its name, repetition is the game

GSP is an intelligent fighter like Lennox Lewis. GSP's goal has been to hone every aspect of his game so that he is always in control rather than fighting an opponent's strength. GSP's method of fighting safe is mistaken as cowardly when it is, in fact, the most intelligent way to prolong his career and earning potential. Of course, he has been talking about money alot lately because he is abnormal -- a savvy and intellectual fighter.

I think he fights very smart. If the KO happens it happens but he doesn't hunt for it. I'd like to see him mix in a nice 1 2 maybe even finish with some head kicks. Go back to his Karate base a bit more maybe. I think he has the tools to finish guys, he just has to use them more often.
