That's about the last two people I'd want to see coaching TUF. Not to mention it be unfair to stick a bunch of up and coming fighters with Rampage as their coach again they don't need their careers sidetracked.

Im surprised at how many people are acting as though Sonnen would run through Rampage. I know how many people dislike him, does it cloud their judgement?

Sonnen beats Rampage easily based on what. He was taken down by Jones, Evans, and Bader who are all close to if not better wrestlers than Sonnen. Also add in their size, strength, athleticism, explosiveness, etc. And none of them took him down easy. Jones's actually struggled to get takedowns for the first time... Evans got him down to win the rounds, but it took him awhile and a few attempts to do so. Rampage's knee was very fucked up in the bader fight as well.

Rampage's standup doesnt hold a candle to Anderson's, but his wrestling and TDD is WAY better. Sonnen would not get rampage down easy at all. Sonnen has got to be the strongest or one of the strongest MW's out there, he would be overpowered if he fought Rampage.

Rampage will not see LHW gold again, Jones is just too good. But I dont know why people put Sonnen at that elite status, especially in a bigger weight class.

MW and LHW are 2 very different divisions. I could see Sonnen decisioning a top LHW like Shogun, it is a good matchup for him... Even though I wouldnt favor him, but he gets eaten up by guys like Machida, Evans, and Rampage.
Ive even seen one fool say that Sonnen would beat Jones than have a superfight with Anderson. WTF was he smoking...

Rampages head just isnt in the fight game anymore. Sorry but here is no way he should of lost to bader. he didnt look good against hammil either. the only fight he has really trained for recently seems to be the jon jones fight. in the machida fight he got a gift.

Skill wise, i would say Rampage all day. If they actually fight... Sonnen takes him down, holds him, gnp rinse and repeat.

Simply put WWE gives you more exposure and more $. The kind of exposure his antics evoke out of people would be better served in an environment that hosts that kind of behavoir. In Sports Entertainment if you aren't talking shit and pissing people off then you aren't trying.



He already has the wrestling base and mic skills. He could easily be just as successful as Kurt Angle and certainly more successful than Ken Shamrock.

Bader's wrestling credentials are sick, just as good as Sonnen's, and he's a bigger guy. What is there to laugh about?

If Rampage's knees hold up, I don't see how Sonnen could beat him. Sonnen was out-wrestled by Babalu at 205; he's not nearly as good at 205 as he is at 185.

And all the talk about Rampage on his way out the door? Well, Sonnen is not far behind him. He'll never hold a belt at 185, and if he moves up to 205, I don't think he can beat anyone who's a top 10 besides Shogun, Machida, or Lil Nog.

I think it's a good retirement fight for both guys, but Rampage already took a fight so it probably won't happen.
