If Boetsch beats Lombard, that would give him two(the other being Okami) wins against top 10 fighters.
As far as who Silva should fight in the mean time, I think it depends on how long Silva wants to wait until he defends his title again. He might sit out until the end of the year, which could provide time for a Boetsch/Weidman fight. But if Lombard wins, I could see them giving him the immediate title shot.

Hector is going to prove once again that just being a UFC fighter does not mean you're better than the other "cans" he crushed. I think Hector wins by round 2, if not round 1. Depends on how much Tim tries to ru......err I mean"stick and move".
Is it just me or does Lombard look like a midget in this photo? Dude has huge a head!

I have no clue what is going to happen between Lombard and Boetsch, but even if Boetsch kills Lombard, Anderson Silva would KO Boetsch within 3 minutes.

If Boetsch can pull of a win over the highly touted 25-fight unbeaten streak Lombard(which I don't believe is THAT farfetched), after putting Okami's lights out(albeit in a bottom of the ninth manner), those two wins make a great case for him being among the top of the ladder of contenders.
Lombard is coming into the UFC as one of the biggest MWs outside of ZUFFA and can get a serious KO here, howver if Tim fights smart, I really think he could take this fight. Lombard's dangerous, but he has areas for exploitation. This is by no means a safe UFC debut for Lombard and while it'd be an upset, Boetsch's style could give Hector some fits.
VERY interested in this fight.

I have a 25 fight win streak over my beer cans too. I crushed every single one of them too, but sadly my streak would end too as soon as I faced a top contender in the UFC.

Tim Boetch did not show me that he was a top contender tonight, his performance was more of a top pretender. I give him no credit for victory, this fight should have been a draw, better yet a no contest because it was an absolute fucking abortion. This was Kimbo/Houston Alexander all over again.....That is all.

Looks good for Weidman. I wouldn't have Weidman and Boetsch do a run-off, particularly since Tim needs time to recover from the broken foot. Quote:

What did Lombard show you? Because he showed me that he shouldn't be ranked as top 10.

Tim's boxing was sloppy and just awful at times. His defence was just as bad letting Lombard get of some wicked sniping punches from far too far away considering his reach disadvantage.
His leg kicks did look pretty good, but that was mostly down to Lombard just leaving it there to be kicked. It was good to see him throw the straight front kick, but he needs to get his eye in to use that effectively.
Again, Tim has gotten off another win from another very poor performance saved by his opponent letting him win I feel.
Lombard had Tim in all kinds of trouble throughout the fight, but he didn't swarm Tim, he just let him up. At one point Lombard had Tim curled up into a little ball, and all we saw was 4 pin point hammer fists? Tim can soak them up all day.
Tim is so far from top 10 material technically skill wise. Lombard, psssh, maybe it was the jitters but who was he trying to be?
Weidman will absolutely destroy Boetsch.
