The rematch is happening fellas...I think its time to get over it lol.

I think people forget how close the first fight was, It wasnt a blow out by ANY means. But I really think the big up-kick and "Bendos face>Frankies face" played a big part in the feedback on here and other sites.

I know this doesnt mean anything as far as the outcome goes, But Sherdog and Bloody elbow gave EDGAR the fight, just to name a few sites. I think that qualifies as a "close fight"

Its wasnt the closest fight ever, but It WAS a close fight, and Im surprised that so many people are counting Frankie completley out. Like hes never looked human in a fight, only to come back and look much better in the rematch.

I mean when was the last time there was a close fight, and everybody counted one out in the rematch? And to count Frankie out of all people?

Frankie is getting that belt back in two weeks.

I think it depends on which judges show up lol. Yes, some probably would have given Frankie the nod last time, so if Frankie does the same thing, he could get the decision next time.

the thing that excites me is that edgar has shown he can learn from fights and adapt his gameplan very well. (in hindsight, edgar's ability there and maynard's lack thereof probably should have been a factor for me in predicting their second fight.) but benson is a smart fighter as well, and someone who will adapt. so which frankie shows up? which benson shows up?

my guess is that it'll be a very different fight.

To me it could have gone either way but with an edge to bendo. If that up kick didn't hurt frankie then I think he would have gotten the win.

Bendo is constantly improving as well. Just look at the first and second cerrone fights. Edgar is very durable and has a high fight IQ with a tremendous skill set. On the other hand so does Henderson. The difference to me is in hendersons physical gifts. Like his size and strength advantage.
