Wasnt he supposed to get rolled by okami and lombard too? And if rashaad does wreck him, so much the better.. rashaad would look primed and ready for anderson after that then, no?

Like it or not, Botesch is a contender at 185. As S=E has said on several different threads, a win is a win, and Botesch has some wins over some fairly big names. Style wise, Id say a fight with him and rashaad has a lot of potential.

I think that both of these guys present huge issues for Rashad. Weidman is a beast and a guy who could do to Rashad exactly what he did to Munoz. I don't see that ending well for Rashad. Sonnen is a MUCH BETTER WRESTLER than Rashad and would take him down at will. Sonnen is a 2 time olympic alternate, one of the best in the freaking world. Rashad was an above average collegiate wrestler who would find himself on his back getting pummelled. Sonnen wins this fight in much the same way that he beat Marquardt. Rashad would do better for himself fighting someone who doesn't have the wrestling pedigree to keep it standing where Rashad's chin is in question. A fight against a guy like Cung Lee or Wanderlei would be the best way for him to start. I think that Rashad stands a decent chance against almost everyone in the division except the two guys that were mentioned. Horrible matchups for him. But if I was Sonnen or Weidman I would jump all over that fight.

Rashad just came off of a LHW title fight, I think he's ahead of the likes of Cung or Wandy. I'd love to see him up against Sonnen. The "pummeling" Chael would give Rashad on the ground is a pipe dream. Sonnen gets on top and stays busy but I say Evans will employ great TDD and stay busier on the feet. And I don't see Rashad getting subbed.
