Can we all just admit and appreciate that Siyar is a giant badass? He wants to fight a UFC legend to test himself, he'll take the advanced drug testing and he'll do it for free?!

What a beast I hope the UFC makes this fight. I wouldn't be opposed to simpy postponing the rory/bj fight either.

When previously mentioning potential replacement match-ups for BJ if he "doesn't want to wait" for Rory(which feels like a way to get out of it IMO), I specifically avoided Siyar's name because TBH, I don't think it's good business for BJ and ZUFFA, in the same way Shogun didn't want to match-up with Glover.

I don't think Siyar's not a big enough name for BJ at this juncture for BJ to tkae and is a hugely risky matchup if BJ can't secure the takedown and work a sub. I think BJ's remaining fights should be viewed as "Super Fight" co-mains and don't think we'll see this one happening.

Siyar's said all the right things here and I could be mistaken if BJ accepts, but I highly doubt we see BJ taking this bout.

I think it'll be Maia, Alves or Akiyama if they don't hold off for Rory.

Siyar would be a good fight but a bad business move. There's no way a fight with him brings anywhere close to the attention Rory would have. Alves would be a best of the three you mentioned as it gives the best chance for the kind of war BJ likes. Koscheck is always willing to pick up short notice fights and I'm wondering if the UFC would rather do Penn/Kos than Kos/Ellenberger. I really hope Fitch doesn't end up being his opponent.

BJ only wants near high tier opponents. Siyar... is not a high tier opponent yet.

I'm not saying this guy isn't good, but I don't wanna see BJ fight a lesser fighter. I just can't stand the expected win followed by "(insert name here) is back!!!". No they aren't, they just got a step down in competition.
