Oh I agree he's the #1 contender, but if Bendo/Edgar II winds up with some crazy shit that causes a third fight Diaz will probably want a clause in his contract that he gets a the next title shot no matter what happens in the second fight.

I'm very surprised he's waiting I expected that he was the type of guy who fight anyone anytime regardless of whether or not it's for a belt. I guess in that way he and nick are different as nick has said multiple times he doesn't care about a belt he just wants to get paid to beat people up.

If frankie ends up winning (which is a big if) I think Bendo would probably get an immediate rematch. When you think about it, Frankie's last 4 out of 6 fights have been rematches which is sortve crazy.

I would actually be ok with Bendo having to fight somebody else before getting the rematch simply because I'm sick of the rematches.
