Yes.

Yeah and the US women won gold in soccer. I enjoyed that as well.

Edit: Actually it would be different b/c it would be like if the WNBA and the NBA played in the same gym on the same night, in your analogy.

Yes or no do you watch the WNBA?

Do you watch the WPS? Do you even know any teams?

You talk about how great their skills are but chances are you only watch Women's sports once every 4 years like 85% of America. Lets also remember Women's soccer and Women's basketball is also way way deeper then Women's MMA as far as talent. So how long do you think people will want to watch Rousey submit scrub after scrub?

Personally I would rather Women's MMA wait to go to the UFC until they have enough talent to keep the division going. Because if it goes to soon and fails it will kill Women's MMA.

You will offer to this forum exactly what Ron Paul will to the 2012 Presidential Election.

What do you mean I talk about how great their skills are?

I train martial arts. I train with women and men. I believe they have every right to show their skills. I enjoy gender equality.

I think we could have one or two women MMA matches per pay per view.

My post was directed to rodkm post about the WNBA and the NBA being the same.

Edit (a little bit) nothing against anyone's opinion. I am just a proponent of women's sports, but no I don't watch the WNBA (Not yet, probably will have to when my daughter gets older)

Noone watches the WNBA because the gap in talent is so severe between them and the men. I would wager money my high school team could run with most of the WBNA teams. Womens MMA...I KNOW Rousey, Tate and Cyborg would be put me in the hospital. Same thing with womens soccer, they are talented and fun to watch. Most women sports are pretty entertaining to watch...the WNBA just isnt.

We are here talking about MMA. Not all of us are fans of soccer or basketball, so why would we have to watch women compete in other sports to appreciate a woman's division in MMA or even the UFC? We don't.

Fact is that the majority of us do enjoy watching women's MMA. Not all of us hold antiquated views towards women.

lol well dayum..

I guess for me I don't mind seeing MMA grow as a sport. I do feel like women should have the same opportunities as men but I don't think they have gotten to the point yet where they can run a separate show dedicated to women on their own.

I think StrikeForce has got the formula right but the problem is the talent pool being damn near non existent.

i'd rather see women stay in sf while it builds up depth for two reasons:

1. allow women's mma to develop some depth and establish sellable personalities before it's put under the scrutiny that fox and other ufc deals bring.

2. might be easier to get away with paying them disproportionately more without media scrutiny. i'd like to see sf make an investment in women's mma financially and incentive more women to join.
