| F— you, I’m a fighter. There’s No Etiquette in MMA F— you, I’m a fighter. There’s No Etiquette in MMA Quote:
UFC Welterweight Josh Koscheck bluntly says during the promo video for the new cable tv reality show Fight Factory Quote:
“F— you, I’m a fighter.
When I’m in the ring it’s business. It’s my livelihood on the line. I’m going to be a dick. I’m going to be pissed.”
“I don’t like anybody I’m gonna fight. Don’t respect them. Don’t care about them. Don’t want anything to do with them.”
“I don’t feel there’s an etiquette (in MMA). I wouldn’t follow it if there was an etiquette in this sport.”
| It’s no secret Koscheck’s split with AKA has been less than amicable Quote:
“I left AKA in San Jose for one reason and one reason only – Javier Mendez.
He only cares about certain people in the gym.
After you lose, he’ll throw your name under the bus, like, ‘Hey he didn’t listen to the game plan.’
Realistically, Javier never gave me a game plan in my entire life.”
“Once somebody crosses me, they’re done,” he said. “They’re dead to me.”
| Another promo that circulated last week Koscheck was filmed stating
“I hope AKA burns to the ground.”

On the one hand, Koscheck is a dick, has no problem being a dick, has no respect, wouldn't follow any etiquette even if there was an expectation to! On the other hand, Javier Mendez, throws people under the bus (kind of a dick thing to do, no?), only cares about certain people (almost like he has no respect for them) - see a pattern here Koscheck? You're a piece of shit, you're a dick, you don't treat people with respect - however Mendez was a dick and didn't respect you? How fucking dare he!

Funny. I used to hate Kos. I just don't care much about him lately. He's a tough fighter and puts on some entertaining fights sometimes. I really don't think he's as big of an asshole as he wants people to believe he is. I think he uses that persona to sell fights and it works. He probably is a huge tool and kind of a Dick but I think he steps it up a bunch for the media.

Lets just hope that he remembers this when his fighting career is over and he cant get a job because nobody aside from his mother can stand to look at him.
Nice of him to drag Javier back into it too. Kos is such a child. I now want to buy one of Bonnars shirts just because I know he hates them.

I'm sure outside of the fight world Kos is a nice guy, but hey, he's in his thirties, probably won't fight for a title again before retiring, and has made his name and money by being an asshole, so I don't blame him at all for ramping it up in the final few years of his career and making as much money as he can for himself and his family's future.

| I have a problem with this statement.
I think he his wrong. At the end he and the others are PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS (or supposed to be). It is a sport and at top levels of sports there should be some if not a lot of class and sportsmanship. I knoe it is a fight, but they are not fighting to the death,,,so IMO there needs to be sportsmanship.
Shit like when Chael had a fake belt running his mouth, KOS never sutting up, Fitch call BJ a coward, punching refs Spitting on fighters, over covered bullshit about a D level movie etc, DOES NOT HELP MMA AT ALL.
Guys like Randy, Wandy, Rich etc. took thier losses like men and cameback without being a total cock. That is why these names are Legends. They fought hard and did it with a professional approach.
Others should try alittle not to be so dickish.

| UFC's Velasquez: Koscheck's gym comment 'stupid'
UFC's Velasquez: Koscheck's gym comment 'stupid' UFC's Velasquez: Koscheck's gym comment 'stupid' Quote:
Cain Velasquez wasn’t a big fan of what Josh Koscheck had to say about American Kickboxing Academy last week, but he doesn’t think his former teammate was serious.
“He’s just saying that,” the former UFC heavyweight champion told The Post. “It’s a stupid comment he made.”
Koscheck had a falling out with AKA founder and trainer Javier Mendez and left to form his own camp. He said to former teammate Jon Fitch on a promo for nuvoTV’s new show “Fight Factory” that he hopes AKA “burns to the ground.”
Velasquez admitted to not liking the words much, but also reiterated that the dispute is just between Koscheck and Mendez.
“I’m friends with him and I'm gonna stay friends with him,” Velasquez said of Koscheck. “Whatever happens between them, it doesn’t change our relationship.”
The Koscheck-Mendez saga actually plays out on film in “Fight Factory,” which chronicles every day life at AKA in San Jose, Calif., and Koscheck’s new gym, Dethrone Base Camp in Fresno.
The show debuts Aug. 15 at 10 p.m on nuvoTV. Velasquez says it’s a different look at UFC and Strikeforce fighters like himself, Daniel Cormier and Fitch.
“It gives a little background on who we are as people,” Velasquez said. “All most people really see is the end product and that’s us at the fight. There’s a lot more that goes into that.”
