| Report: Edgar's manager punched Henderson's manager in the face Report: Edgar's manager punched Henderson's manager in the face Quote:
There was a brief off-camera disturbance at the UFC 150 post-fight press conference, that White ran to check out, and then reported was not a big deal.
Apparently, after Ben Henderson and Frankie Edgar got done fighting, their managers started fighting. Ben Henderson is managed by Malki Kawa, Frankie Edgar by Ali Abdel-Aziz.
Ariel Helwani tweeted the story, although Kawa said he got it wrong. Quote:
Ariel Helwani @arielhelwani
If you're wondering what the brouhaha was during the presser, I'm told Frankie's mgr @alidominance and Bendo's mgr @malkikawa got into a scuffle. Not sure who won, but I'm told it was the opposite of the main event, if you catch my drift. For whatever it's worth, Ali and his team say he punched Malki in the face. It seems like they didn't like what he had to say after the main event, although, I'm not quite sure what was said.

Kawa contradicted Helwani's tweet. Quote:
malki kawa @malkikawa
@arielhelwani so now you go off of one side and that's how you do???? That's not what happened but great job in being a dick head reporter

Heard about a 'disturbance' at the press conference. Glad it did not involve real fighters.

not interviewing both sides doesnt necessarily make him a dickhead, as long as you leave the conclusions open to the audience. ariel is a good reporter its not his job to reporter both sides of the story at the same time exact time, sometimes you have to break the story with what youve got and then go from there, reporters make a living and a reputation by being first, since malki didnt actually clear the air i personally conclude hes got reason to be embarassed.

Ariel is hardly an unbiased reporter.

anyone else surprised that the post-tweet backlash is about who got hit, who beat up who, and not who started it?? you'd really like to think the managers could stop playing tough guy and point out that the person who should be embarrassed is the grown man who picked a fight in a professional setting...
