If he beats Mir then give him Overeem in a No. 1 contender match.
It would be fair. Cormier I think should have at least 1 win in UFC before getting a title shot.
Overeem also has to "pay" for being a cheater so give him a non title fight first.

I think he should have one fight in the ufc first but Dana said Overeem doesn't lose his place due to suspension. Either way, I think Cormier would probably wear overeem down and beat him. Carson should be a good test if he beats Roy.

He's beaten better fighters than AO has, he should be the SF champ if he get's past Mir. Zuffa would be smart to cross-promote a title-contender bout with him and AO if he wins, they could pimp the "no, he's the real SF champ" for either fighter if it happens.

I think he should get a shot but I don't think he will.

I hope he doesn't have to fight Cain because I hate fights with teammates that have big implications they don't fight like themselves and it sucks.

How is it fair to Cormier who could perhaps beat 3 Top 10 HWs in a row? What else do you want the guy to do to earn a title shot? Who cares if he hasn't fought in the UFC his track record says that if he beats Mir he has earned his shot at JDS/Cain.

It seems odd to me that they wouldn't have made this for the SF title before now.

What are they going to do? Bring in Monson or make him beat up Brett Rogers and call that a title fight? That freaking title is useless anyway, give it to the one guy who gave you a spark of excitement in the last year....I mean, shit Marquardt has a title on far less achievement than DC.

In a perfect world JDS would fight Cain, then fight DC... should he get my Mir... Before AO comes back, then fight him...

If AO is ready and DC has beaten Mir by the time the JDS/Cain rematch happens. The UFC will have the good problem of having 2 very solid contenders for the title... Much less at HW... That is a good sign... Also with Werdum looking good.... some good up and comers... The HW division is looking good...

If Dan wins... He will have beaten Monson, Bigfoot, Barnett, and Mir in a row... that is impressive... He is more than deserving... But will he get the shot before AO, if Alistar is good to go. You also have think about how the UFC will see it. They know that AO has better selling potential...

Why not get DC some more exposure against a HW like say Nog or Werdum... even on the same card as JDS/AO.

RD... DC wants noting to do with Jones. I always get a laugh when I see people say that Jones wouldnt be able to deal with DC's size... The guy has a good bit of fat on him, if he was cut like Jones, he would barley have any weight on him...

Jones would also have a 6 inches of height and 13.5 inches of reach on DC...

They do not have a SF HW title because the HW division is closing up shop after these last 2 fights.
