Opened up from eight weeks every week all the way up to the fifth week before the Diaz fight but did I ever think about pulling out? Not even once. "

i think he's just saying if rory felt he could let the cut heal and still beat bj on the 22nd , then he would have kept the fight, obviously rory rightly assessed that he could not heal properly and rely on the little remaining before sept 22nd to be enough prep to defeat BJ penn. its not that serious
