They are expecting Hendo/Jones to carry the card. I think it will still sell very well because of this fight. I still think most people only buy a PPV because of the headliner.

There is a good chance that some of the other fighters on the card/undercard are going to be headliners in the future! A true MMA fan likes to follow fighters throughout their career, and see them evolve. Quote:

Not the best card, but the Main event is what sells cards...
Jones the biggest phenom MMA has ever seen. He is the best talent to ever step into the cage...
Hendo is a true legend of MMA... MMA's true ironman. He has fought the biggest names in the game.

| Then I guess you have the desire and the time to follow the career of over 200 fighters right?

| Wrong. You've assumed that.
Maybe I go to the bar as so many users have suggested in this thread but you don't know because I didn't say...
....and I'm complaining about the card because it's not worthy of the PPV status or Main Event it has. I thought I was pretty clear on that one but reading can be hard.

First, he's stepping in for Koscheck's injury, so it's not like he came out of nowhere. You can complain about his win in Legacy, but you could also make an argument that he got boned in the Askren fight and could be Bellator champ right now. He was also a guy that Nick Diaz ducked, and Coker didn't know what to do with because he was a threat to the legitimacy of the SF WW belt since Nick wanted nothing to do with facing him. Jay is legitimate.

Did Diaz ever give a reason for ducking Hieron?

Even this saturday's Strikeforce card is better.
UFC is doing weird things, they put very good cards on Fox, but lately they have been doing very shitty PPVs in paper. 147 was bad, 149 has been probably one of the worst cards ever, 151 looks very bad, 152 is also bad. 153 looks good (Finally!!) 154 so does not look like anything special (Just like 151, good main event, but nothing else).
I really do not understand how anyone pay for that. Even for free I will watch just 1-2 fights of those PPVs. Who pays almost 60 bucks to watch that?? | die hards
