I still like the guy. He could easily fight for the title in the next year. I think that this was just in response to the trash talking that BJ has been doing since Rory had to pull out of the fight. Now while the likelihood of Penn dying in this fight isn't very high, I don't see a senario where Rory doesn't beat the living hell out of him.

I still think it's bs that Rory called off the fight from a cut, at least make up a good excuse if you're going to "call in sick for work". I lost some respect for him for pulling that.

Are you serious? People get long medical suspensions for cuts that aren't nearly as bad as the one Rory got. He more than likely wouldn't have even been cleared to fight.



Cuts that look like that end fights.

Humble him? At this time Rory was as humble as a church mouse to begin with..Not once did he mouth before the fight! This was his first big UFC fight in front of 18,000 MMA fans..A fight that Rory handily took the first two rounds...

Why don't you mention when Kampmann humbled Condit? That was Condits first UFC fight, so I think nervousness played a factor. I chalk that one up to UFC jitters, as I do the Codit/MacDonald fight...Give the kid a break!
