Lets look at the facts:
UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones......490k PPV buys
UFC 135: Rampage vs. Jones......520k PPV buys
UFC 140: Machida vs Jones.....485k PPV buys
UFC 145: Evans vs. JOnes......700k PPV buys
Outside of the Evans fight, which had a lot of history between the 2, and the back n forth exchange of words, mainly due to the Evans skill of knowing how to build up a fight, the other 3 defenses were in the same neighborhood of PPV buys. His argument is invalid.
Problem is Jones isnt a PPV draw. He has fought 2 opponents who have history of knowing how to sell a fight (Evans, Rampage) and 2 who do decent numbers of selling a fight due to their exciting fighting style (Shogun, Machida).

It's because Machida is his biggest threat and performed the best against him so far.... go figure.

I'm just saying, Evans did allot better than Machida did. Machida may have been a puzzle, but Evans gave him the hardest fight.

Jones comes across as a prima donna in the interview

We would all be pissed if we had to do more work (tougher fight= more work) for less money. However Bones isn't the biggest draw himself so basically he is upset that he doesn't have an opponent that can carry him (from a ppv selling point). Bones is also the guy who recently told Chael to earn a shot, but from the sound of this thread Chael would be Bones dream opponent.
A champ saying he doesn't wanna fight someone is ALWAYS a lose-lose.

| Wait, would not his fights against Daiju Takase or Luiz Azeredo be the toughest fights of his career?
