If Weidman didn't look so dangerous or if he didn't earn his shot I would say GSP. But you got to give the man his shot at dethroning a legend, I mean say this scenario plays out and Weidman doesn't get the shot but then in turn dominates MW for years. How lame would it be that Anderson took a fight against a smaller fighter.

GSP.
Meanwhile there should a MW tourny to cement the next champ. (And Sonnen would definitely make a return...)

"Who do you want him to face on his way out the door? Bear in mind, he'll never fight the guys you don't pick in the poll."
That why i'm out.

Allow Anderson an opportunity to cement his legacy as p4p.
If he was to face Weidman for his retirement fight it would just seem lacking for such an amazing career. | Fighting a champ at a lighter weight class would do absolutely nothing to help his standing in the P4P category.
If its his last fight he should fight GSP. It would be all about the spectacle and not about the next worthy opponent, which is obviously Weidman.

Any damn person he wants. But I voted GSP, because he deserves a super fight of some sort to finish of his career. He's the best MW fighter ever, and will still likely be known as such, for the next 5-10 years (retired or not). He's undefeated in the UFC, on a 16 fight win streak, and 2-0 in the LHW division. He's earned a fight that would make him big money, to finish his career.

No "Gandhi's reanimated corpse option?" poor poll, 2/10, wnv.
I voted Weidman. He's the number 1 contender and has earned his shot. I'm not saying he'd win but he's earned the opportunity to try.
GSP has business with Condit, and while has previously stated he would consider a move to MW I believe he added a caveat about taking 12 months to do it properly. If Silva is looking for a mega money fight to round off his career in style, he should be calling out Jon Jones. Make it a 5 round non title fight if he's worried about trampling on Machida's feelings. Don't be fighting a world class welterweight who would be at a 20-30lb weight disadvantage in (given the timing) possibly his first fight st middleweight.

I say GSP but I would like for them to meet in the middle. I know there won't be a title on the line or anything, but I really don't care about that...I would just like to see them compete against each other in the most fair way possible. Wishful thinking, but so?

I picked Weidman, but I realized I fucked up because even though he has earned his title shot, the fan in me wants Diaz vs Silva. I ain't the promoter to get the backlash from that decision. I'd rather see Anderson fight one of the most exciting fighters who will legitimately test him in the stand up than a young guy going into his first title shot against the P4P fighter in the world.
