Never really been a fan of Fitch but I do respect his talent. He has never been in exciting fight unless you consider GSP beating him down for 5 rounds exciting. He had time to prepare for Hendricks and got KO'ed. That being said its not Hendricks fault that Fitch too him lightly. I think the division is starting to catch up to him so he had better work on his striking. He reminds me alot of Forrest in the fact that they both are very hard working but not much athletic ability. Fitch has peaked and I dont see him getting another title shot.

I like Fitch. I enjoy watching him fight.

I'm sure if Rocky attempted to clinch with Drago win on the scorecards not only would the Russian fans have booed him, but most people would have walked out of the theaters before the end of the movie.

lol, just about as likely as Sonnen getting cheered in Brazil...
He is seen as very boring, also being an outsiders fighting a Brazilian. Not a chance.

This fight goes one of two ways imo. Either Silva will tear through Fitch or Fitch will slowly grind him out...
Fitch is a sticky grappler and when he takes you down, he just stays on you and doesn't give you much space to work with. I kind of have a feeling that Silva will be able to stop the takedown, though.
Silva spent his whole last camp preparing for a wrestler and tore right through Brenneman. Now, I know Fitch is a superior grappler to Brenneman, but that was still an entire training camp that was geared towards preparing for a much similar fighter to Fitch (although inferior). Now he will have yet another full training camp to prepare for the same style of fighter...and whenever you have someone like Jacare to be the one to help you with your grappling day in and day out, that is just huge imo. Silva also just strikes me as someone who is very passionate about what he does and someone who is very talented. He is young and very hungry. He has shown great improvements from only a couple of years ago as far as his TDD goes.
Him and his team know exactly what their going up against in a very limited striker that is going to go for the takedown right away. Fitch has to worry about kicks, punches, knees, elbows, spinning attacks, and possibly even Silva taking his back or reversing position and putting Fitch on his back if Fitch gets to desperate for a takedown and shoots from too far out...

Good interview. It was surprising that fitch went into as much detail as he did about Kos and Mendes. Usually fighters and camps are fairly tight-lipped about their inner circles. I don't think the boos will be all that bad when he first enters because he is so respectful of Brazillians . However, the boos when he is blanketing Silva to death will be like thunder.

Jesus I never realised there was this much hate for Fitch. Personally like the guy. I do find his lack of finishing to be frustrating sometimes because I think he has the capability to do it.
But I still like watching him fight even when it is to a decision.
