I enjoy fitchs grappling. His fight entertain me. Even if he doesn't do a lot of damage he generally stays busy. Good interview. As always Jon sounds very well spoken.

Sorry but if he's so good at controlling, then he should be finishing fights. Controlling for the sake of winning on points is boring to watch. That's why he hadn't gotten another title shot. Yeah, Yeah it's a sport, but it's also a business that thrives on entertainment value. Until guys like Fitch get that, they can expect to take heat from the fans. He talks about being "evolved", maybe he finally gets it and we'll see a more complete fighter than just a grinder...............

I also enjoy watching Fitch fight, just because drunk WWF fans boo him doesn't mean MMA fans don't appreciate him.

Why do I get the impression that if Fitch was Black you'd be a fan? Quote:

I don't dislike him personally but I never get excited to see his name come up on a card. If that makes me less an MMA fan then I guess I'm just a drunk WWE fan. We all have our own opinions.

On topic, Fitch is a great fighter. I think Silva is in quite over his head here. His style actually reminds me of the New Jersey Devils, back in the 90's when they were killin the NHL with the trap. I think he employs brilliant strategy, and great technique to be a very dominant fighter.
Fitch really should have gotten a rematch before dan hardy got a fight for the belt.
If GSP wasnt the champ, I have no problems seeing fitch winning and holding the belt for a good while.

I ask because I never said if you didn't like him as a fighter then you were a drunk WWF fan.

Well I missed you too rh, and there is already a black Jon Fitch in MMA, his name is Antonio Mcgee and I am NOT a fan of his either. It's not like Fitch shows anything other than wrestling in his fights, his standup is barely passable, his ju jitsu is hard to gauge cause he makes few sub attempts. So where is the quality in his fights that would get me excited? With Anderson and Jones I know that it's very likely to end in an amazing finish. With Fitch I know that I can run to the store and grab some more beer......
