Hyun Gyu ‘Ace’ Lim has signed a four-fight contract to compete in the UFC welterweight division, a KTT spokesman announced today.

Lim is very big for welterweight, standing 6'2" tall with an 82" reach. He previously fought at middleweight but made the drop to welter recently and has been enjoying success at 170lbs.

KTT describes him as having “a boxing base, but his ground game is also very dangerous. As is the case with most Korean Top Team fighters, he's a closer, winning his last 5 fights all in the 1st round.”

He counts ‘Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung among his team mates and the featherweight contender had this to say about Lim, “He’s huge and really skilled all around. He’s probably the best all around fighter on our team, myself and Dongi Yang included! His fights are always exciting and he’s had 4 straight 1st-round KOs.”

A 6'2" welterweight with an 82" reach, a boxing base, and four 1st round knockouts in his last 5 1st round wins?! And he trains with the Zombie?!

I think i'm going to skip down the street for a moment. Someone give me a pillow so I can yell into it... or smother me.

Sherdog has him listed as a LHW. I hope he isn't the Anthony Johnson kind of welterweight and he makes weight without incident.

I look forward to watching Hyun Gyu Lim fight, in his few youtube clips, he looks like a beast on the feet.

If the reach is accurate, that's 4" more then Anderson Silva, pretty crazy. The guy has some losses to journeymen and no solid wins, so we'll see how good he really is. Sometimes guys just need to turn a corner in their career, seems like his ground game was lacking a bit, but if he's as good as he's being hyped will be great to see how he does.
