| Cris Cyborg removed from Strikeforce show by CSAC
Link: Cris Cyborg removed from Strikeforce show by CSAC - Mixed Martial Arts News Quote:
Cris Cyborg was asked to leave Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman, by the CSAC, because she is suspended for testing positive for PEDs until December. Quote:
“I watched all fights but on the last one, Ronda’s, a woman working on the event came to tell me I had to leave because the commission doesn’t accept suspended athletes on the shows. My manager talked to the guys at the commission and there’s really a law that says that. I was upset for the way they treated me. They could’ve pulled me on a corner and told me, not in front of the fans. I was taking pictures and they interrupted me, saying I had to go. It was very disrespectful. I believe a champion deserves to be treated with respect. Everyone knows an athlete’s life isn’t easy, so all fighters deserve respect. When I was in Brazil I watched UFC and there was no problem."
“I watched it from upstairs, standing up. I thought she did a great job fighting, had a good performance. She’s a great athlete on her division. This is my last interview on which I’m talking about her. I’m making clear to the fans who want to see this fight that if it’s up to me and her it will never happen because I’m not dropping to her weight class and she can’t gain few pounds to fight me. So I’m only talking about her again if I sign a contract because then it will be a fight that will actually happen. It doesn’t depend on me, it’s up to Strikeforce to decide. If they want this fight they will have to come to an agreement so that both of us are happy."

That doesn't make any sense at all. The commission shouldn't be able to decide who attends events as a spectator that's between the org and the venue.

I do not see how the NSAC can "remove" a "spectator" that isnt causing a disturbance or interruption. She wasnt an employee on that night, just a paying customer who came to the event like everybody else but she just happens to work for the company promoting the show they are regulating.
Vulgar Display of Power? I dont really care either way, just think this is was excessive and uncalled for, but on a side note, reap the whirlwind ya cheatin bitch.

theres no need to tell her to leave, and she is a former champ that does dserve some measure of respect even if she got caught doping, her whole resume shouldnt be discredited, this was just petty

Well if it is indeed a rule/law then she should of known about it to begin with. I'm sure it was in some of the paperwork she had received for her suspension. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, right? But then again, she was caught doping so I guess she's the one who has no respect for any other fighter or the organization and it's fans. You have to give respect to get respect.

I don't think it's fair to kick her out. Could this have been a condition of her suspension? Or was the commission just throwing their weight around?

Cyborg was demanding her release from Strikeforce via Twitter, shortly after the Rousey vs Kaufmann fight ended. I'd have to check her timeline to know exactly when she went on a rant.
To my knowledge, Cyborg wasn't shown on either the Showtime Extreme (prelims) or Shotwime (main card) broadcasts. She probably felt upset that Showtime/Strikeforce/Zuffa didn't give her camera time to promote a possible fight between her and Ronda. Not to mention that she got unceremoniously bounced from the arena.
In Cyborg's defense, SF has been notorious about not providing their fighters, female included, with enough work. The Rousey fight was Cyborg's only chance at big $$$ in SF. Knowing that wouldn't materialize, she didn't want to get stuck under contract, and asked for her release.
Does Invicta have a 145 lbs division?

Was she a paying customer though ?
Even if she was like mentioned there are rules that need to be followed you can't be making exceptions either way. The idea behind it is you don't want the event and athletes being tainted by a suspended cheater being there.
Alot of other sports follow the same rules as well you can't suspended and stay at home. It is after all supposed to be a punishment not a vacation.
