I would think Pettis would get the shot... not so sure about Cerrone though as he lost pretty convincingly to Diaz not long ago and Henderson already has a couple wins over him.

love both of these guys but I have to side with Pettis on this one.. at the beginning of fights Cerrone comes in a little to aggressive and Pettis has the skill to take advantage of this one early.

I wish I could post pics from my phone.
Pettis is a hell of a fighter, but also a hell of a tool.

Ya I dont know why Cerrone doesnt use his ground skills more. IMO he is way to overconfident when he goes into fights. I think he could use his wrestling and BJJ and win this one. If he stands its a pick em fight. Donald looks like a robot when he fights. He stands with his head up high with no head movement while taking way to many overhand rights.

Pettis is no slouch on the ground. Hell IMO he beat Guida from his back on the ground, made guida defend the entire fight.

I was going to say the same thing. I know Cerrone has great ground game, but Pettis' is not to be overlooked. He's got a very active and dangerous guard.

I really like this fight and it really is a tough one to call. I gotta agree with Snigs though. While Cerrone's stand up is very technical and precise, Pettis just has that x-factor or wild card. He's got a great kickboxing base and he's not afraid to just throw something you'll never see coming.

I'll be rooting for my boy Anthony on this one.

I actually think Pettis' ground game is just as good if not better.

Cerrone was subbed pretty quickly by Bendo in their 2nd fight, whereas Pettis actually did better than Ben on the ground. Pettis also has a sub over Roller, and I don't recall Cerrone owning a submission win over anyone with a such a grappling pedigree...
