| Anderson Silva wants GSP, even if he loses to Condit Anderson Silva wants GSP, even if he loses to Condit Quote:
In an interview with Sport TV, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva made it clear that he wants to face GSP next even if he loses to Condit:
"Regardless of who wins, even if St. Pierre loses, a fight with me can happen. A fight like this is above anything else. St. Pierre is one of the greatest of the UFC. Right now, a fight with Condit is meaningless."

I wouldn't say a fight with Condit is meaningless. Silva sounds like he's wanted this fight for a while. If GSP is actually serious about wanting this fight then I think it will actually happen next year. I'll be rooting for GSP and would like him to win but I don't think he will. Silva is too big and won't be able to get taken down for 5 rounds straight and held there. I don't see GSP being able to sub him and certainly won't be able to beat Silva standing.

It might be somewhat meaningless "now" but if Condit beats GSP, it really would not be meaningless. GSP is Condit's "validation" IMO.

i have a feeling gsp is going to win if they fight. GSP's mma wrestling is second to none and i don't think it would be that far fetched to see him hold silva down and gnp his face in.

I think this is hinting at the fact that Silva is heavily contemplating retirement. He has wanted this fight for a while, and it will certainly be a gigantic payday for him. I for one, would love to see this fight.

btw, is that an accurate size by size comparison of gsp and silva? if that pic is accurate, silva looks huge.

If GSP loses the fight with Condit there is no longer any demand for a Silva/GSP match up because it would no longer be considered a super fight.
