The funny part is Belcher could probably beat Weidman. I have been saying this for a long time yall need to stop sleeping on Belcher.
Also maybe Weidman understands how Silva feels about him as far as stock goes. If I am Silva and I have more title defenses than the number 1 contender has fights I probably would rather fight a more established fighter and champion in GSP. Even if you feel the fight wouldn't do anything for Silva's legacy there is no denying that a fight with GSP would be more lucrative for both parties.
Throw in the fact that Silva offered his hand in saving a ppv I would say DW owes him a super fight since he pratically gave Sonnen and Vitor a championship opportunity that neither earned.
Also I will 1up your crappy example with one of my owns. If BJ Penn can successfully leap over all the competition (number 1 contenders included) at ww to fight GSP in a rematch surely Silva vs GSP can happen.
