Jones is never going to recover from this PR nonsense. He can't make himself stop screwing up.
If Jackson were half as influential as people say he is, he'd be able to do something. But he's not.
It's gotten beyond entertaining, now it's just sad.

I'm not sure what should have been done differently: Henderson's medical team felt he could fight with three weeks of rest. So he didn't tell anyone and he rested, and it didn't work out. He didn't wait until the last minute, he told people with a week left.
I can't see how Henderson gets any blame here at all.
I can see where the UFC gets blame for a weak card, for actually thinking sonnen was a viable opponent, and for dana utterly mismanaging the negotiation. I can see where Jones gets blame for not fighting a MW who poses no serious threat to him, and for playing a confused teenaged diva after the fact.
