Overeem would have several awesome awesome fights in the future. What would be a nightmare in that scenario, unless you mean he'll piss hot again, or not defend the belt very often???

Go Cigano!!
Overroid and then Jon Jones. Both deserve an ass kicking. I think JDS has the tools to give them what they deserve!

I cant help but be a fan of Overeem regardless of him pissing hot. He's still a very talented fighter but I'm a fan of both and cant root for either but I know this is a fight that needs to happen.

I love how so many people think AO has a chance vs JDS. So let me get this straight. AO goes from being a crappy 205er, to a much larger man who reinvents his nickname by demolishing cans overseas for awhile before coming to Strikeforce and looking like a slightly above average guy...all while barely fighting in Strikeforce... goes back overseas and bull rushes everybody in K1, comes back to the US and puts on his best performance against a former professional wrestler who just had his second major surgery to prevent a potentially FATAL illness, and NOW people think he has what it takes to be the best HW in the world?
What....the....fuck?
Did everyone forget about his chin? That's the only thing that didn't get bigger or stronger, and unfortunately for him its the thing that JDS is going to touch (more like, batter) very early and often. And when he does, nite nite AO. I predict JDS stops him in under 2 minutes.
AO is NOT the better striker. I don't give a shit about his K1 success. His only advantage is reach, and JDS I believe is technically more sound than AO and he will prove it by closing the distance while taking no damage and delivering knockout strikes of his own.

He was fighting Prime Liddell (lost, no shame there) Prime Antonio Nogueira (lost, UD no shame there) Prime Shogun, and err, the not too shabby Sergei Kharitonov. Sure he has fought he share of cans, but he had an impressive win over Todd Duffee and Brett Rogers. Both of those fighters are dangerous powerful men, and AO ran through them. Quote:

| He's only been knocked out by the hardest of hitters. Prime Liddell and Shogun knocked him out and your surprised? There are dinosaurs out that would have been knocked out by prime Liddell. Even Sergei Kharitonov is a legit HW with really good striking. Quote: |

| I don't think he is the more technical striker at all. JDS couldn't knock out Roy Nelson who wasn't exactly doing a lesson in ballet trying to get away from JDS's shots, and JDS couldn't knock him out.
You wanna see how Roy Nelson gets knocked out? Google his fight with AA, and you'll see some technical striking. Sure JDS has amazing power, and fantastic hand speed, but he definitely isn't the more accurate or technical striker than AO.

I don't think JDS is going to win the rematch with Cain. I believe after he loses we'll see JDS and AO fight for the #1 contender.
