This is great. Tyrone is a beast that was usually undersized in K-1. Seeing him in MMA will be a treat... although, I sure hope he's been training lots of TDD and Sub-defence... even strikers are gonna try to take Tyrone down upon the opening bell. It might be tough to find anyone willing to trade shots with him.

Bas asked him about that (his TDD) on MMA Live , and he (Tyrone) said he'd been training it for a couple years now down in the Blackzilian camp. He also went on to say that about 5 or 6 years ago he started some light training in Jiu Jitsu. So yeah I'm excited for this move as well and am also hoping his TDD is at least good enough to keep him in the fight game called MMA. Should be interesting.

Edit: Inside MMA.... Not MMA Live.... I was tired, sorry for that...

Big fan of Spong, even undersized he still almost beat AO. Also he just Ko'd Aerts, should be a real force in MMA.

I look forward to his debut and believe he will be fully prepared to crush whatever can that is served up.

IMO he's got 2 of the best people in the MMA world that could help him helping him.

I think as far as MMA wrestling goes there would be not many better to learn from then Evans, And having a pure striker of a K1 championship level in Overeem who has developed the other skills of MMA to have a successful career is really going to benefit Tyrone.

I don't know where is wrestling is at, but if they put him in against a can, he will murder them in no time. He probably has the best striking of any 205er in MMA now.

I've been waiting for Spong to begin his mma career. Definitely looking forward to his debut , but I hope they don't rush him to the top too fast.
