Explosive Dana White Interview: UFC President Explains UFC 151 and More on “UFC Tonight: Special Edition” Tonight | Quote:
-I had my moment where I was upset. One of the things I like to do is consistency...People don't realize the collateral damage of cancelling an event.
-I have no regrets what so ever. I wouldn't take anything back.
-Dan Henderson knew two weeks before the fight. Two weeks before he told me he was injured he knew. Had he given me the two weeks, like he should of, this fight could have happened.
-There has never been a case in UFC history where a guy didn't step up and take a fight.
-Trainers don't make fighters. Talented fighters make trainers. (Speaking about Greg Jackson)
-Chael Sonnen was gonna be the guy that would show up and fight. That's why he got the fight.
-The thing you have to understand about Greg Jackson, this guy is a business man. First and foremost a business man. Greg Jackson is not your family man. He's not your family. He's not gonna pay your bills.
-White doesn't remember if Jones asked to have Chael stop trash talking him, but he believes it doesn't happen.
-If the fans wanted to see Jones vs. Chael Sonnen, I'd guess we'd make that happen.
-Fighters on the undercard who were booked far out were compensated.
-Asking Silva didn't even cross his mind. He would not even consider asking the best pound for pound fighter in the world to take a fight on 8 days notice.
-Jones and I haven't spoken since incident. He's a young guy who's made some bad choices and decisions. But he's a great fighter.
-I didn't exactly what it is I never do. I announced a fight without a bout agreement. Ed Soares said he thought Machida would take the fight, but was unable to reach him, as he was 'in the jungle.' Machida said the four weeks wasn't enough.
-Machida is not the next in line.
-Should Georges St-Pierre defeat Condit, the fight will Anderson Silva fight is likely at 180 lbs. If that fight happens it should happen at Cowboys Stadium.
-When asked about Brock Lesnar fighting Fedor Emelianenko, White was mostly laughs, saying that people had asked if he could make it happen, but it was really just a question he posed to see if fans were interested. He tried countless times to bring Fedor to the UFC, but he's now retired. "I couldn't get him when he was fighting, what are the chances I can get him when he's retired." | Dana White exposes the truth behind UFC 151 (full recap) - Mixed Martial Arts News

But for real,
How about Dana's comments on how he would never ask Silva to fight on 8 days notice because he is the p4p... Kind of interesting... Does the p4p deserve the right to be above short notice fights? Slippery slope to protecting the record

I still want to see Lesnar-Fedor & would totally pay for that card. Come on Dana, make it happen! Quote:

And to answer your question, yes Anderson does deserve special treatment because Dana does what's in the best interest of the promotion. Anderson is undefeated in the UFC & they're cautiously planning to have him fight GSP in Texas Stadium. Potentially throwing that kind of high profile bout away for a last minute substitute is just bad business.
Also, it's quite obvious this is Hendo's fault. He should've told Dana as soon as the injury was diagnosed so the promotion could start taking precautions if he pulled out.

I've said Dan should shoulder some of the blame... Dans also not running his mouth about it constantly. What's there to say? Ummm, he should of said something... Ok. Fine. He hasn't taken to every media outlet available to make himself look bad. He's staying quiet... Which is smart... Jones just now said what he should have said immediately... But before that he said a lot of stuff to draw more fire his way. Frankly in sick of hearing about all of it. I'm just looking forward to 152.
