Mitrione: Jon Jones is 'douchey'

"I think he shows a lot of douchey quality when he talks about, "Well, I'm a business man," I'm just being honest. "I'm a business man here, I got less pay-per-views for this guy so why would I want to fight him?" Dude, you want to fight him because he is probably the next best person in line. Maybe you talk about this stuff with your camp people or your manager, but you don't bitch about that or make it your main argument of why you turned down a fight or why you don't want to fight someone. That's my opinion. Overtime, I think he went from being a pretty cool guy, pretty humble, to being about as arrogant as I can handle. He's so cocky, he seems like really, so disingenuous and just blah, just not my flavor of a human being, that's all.

I even told Joe Silva, if Jon Jones is talking about going to heavyweight, I'd love to welcome Jon Jones to the heavyweight division. I'm not going to have a title anytime soon, so it's not going to be some superfight, but if you want to come play around in the heavyweight division, I'd love to try and punch you in the face. Let me be James Irvin, let me do that, cool."

Just read this a bit ago. I'd be interested in watching Mitrione being James Irvin for Jon Jones. I like Mitrione but I think Jon would handle him. I'm ready to see him back in action though. Sucks his fight is 3 months from now.

It is not that before he was cool and humble. He was just wearing a mask and it is a known fact that you can not wear a mask for a long time. Eventually you will expose yourself and everyone will see how you really are.
He looked so damn fake when he pretended to be all humble. And now there are no doubts anymore that he is a douche.

As for a Mitrione vs Jones fight, personally I think Jones would hurt Mitrione pretty badly.
But I like Mitrione, he will never be a UFC champion but he has good skills and I like his attitude.
Though he needs a lot of work in the ground game, because that 3rd round against Kongo was painful to watch.

Pretty much agree with everything here.

I think him vs Jones could be a good scrap tho. Who knows how difficult/easy of a time Jones would have bringing fighters to the mat when he's going from 205 to to 265.

Spot on. It's one thing when its coming from us as outside observers, but when its coming from people that have actually met the guy, it really makes you think that he really is that big of an ass hat. I really want to see Vitor humble this douche nozzle...

I think Matt would some problems for Jones. He has shown a lot of improvement and with an 82inch reach, Jones loses his main advantage, 10 inch reach advantage. Hell someone like Lavar Johnson, if he works on some tdd can definitely put Jones out on the feet with the type of pressure he puts on his opponents.
