It was only once and for a legitimate reason. Glover was and is not ranked high enough for the fight to be worth the risk/reward for Shogun despite what the haters will say. Shogun's goal remains to be the title and a rematch with Jones, not to appeal to the fans' every whim.

When you're at the top you mustn't worry about antagonizing people with well-rationalized business decisions. But, explain your motives to the fanbase anyway you can and use social media to your advantage to protect your brand. Don't self sabotage like Jones has been doing.

Rashad - in his prime

Machida - in his prime
Jones - in his prime

Not to mention Bustamante, Randleman, Hamill, Jardine and Bader in their primes.

That's 8 champions and a pretty bad ass list of fighters. I have serious doubts that Glover without a single signature win has him so scared he's turning down money. I realize he's kind of a ass clown these days, but saying he's scared is basically fighter bashing because it's baseless.

Well it certainly seemed that you implied it and I'm not going to read through the entire thread again, but I'm sure there were probably at least 5 or so that either said it directly or implied that he was scared. I didn't imagine it.

and again yourself. I'm sorry, you just said it was B.S. and because of the hype surrounding Glover and the risk of being hilight reeled he and shown the door that he lacks the motivation to fight him. Sounds like a thinly veiled reference to being scared.

I'm working so I'm not going to go back and quote 5 or 6 people. Everyone read the same damn thread I did and the statements are there. Except yours of course. You obviously weren't implying he was afraid to fight Glover. You're just misunderstood.

Im calling BS because Rampage hasn't been motivated in a very long time. He's known to balloon up to HW limits between fights.

Add those two things together and you have a fat, out of shape Rampage with zero interest in fighting in the UFC.

Take all of that and couple the fact that he would be fighting an EXTREMELY hungry, killer with nothing to lose and trying to make a name off him. Also reports are that Rampage isn't really all that hurt.

I just think he's not motivated enough to fight anymore and doesn't want to be embarrassed.

I was implying that glover wont run from a replacement fight, unlike some others who recently have. I dont doubt at all that rampage got hurt.

I guess that would explain why he fought Jon Jones. The only thing Glover has to lose is steam which would possibly put him out of place for a future title shot.

DW should setup Sonnen Vs Glover. Machida should rematch Rashad Evans.
